Q : How are babies developing?

They can respond to familiar voices and imitate speech sounds.
Their first experiences of touch are through cuddles, bathing, nappy changing etc by parents and family.

From birth, people react differently to boys and girls e.g. different coloured clothes, more likely to say a baby boy is strong looking and a baby girl is pretty.

Q : What do they need from their parents?

Lots of nice touch – cuddles, massage etc.
